Blackstone Chambers has announced that the second and final part of a major redevelopment project, which will double the size of its Temple premises, is set to be completed “imminently”.
Following the renovation and expansion into the Grade II listed Garden Court last year, the redevelopment of Blackstone House is reportedly nearing completion, and is expected to open in Spring 2022.
The latest work includes an extension to its sixth floor, as well as the creation of a new four-storey atrium to connect the buildings.
On completion, Blackstone Chambers’ “significantly” expanded space will include a brand new clerks’ room, additional offices and meeting rooms, and “state-of-the-art” conference facilities.
It said the culmination of this project, which has been run jointly by Middle Temple and Blackstone Chambers, marks “one of the most significant building projects completed by any London set, creating a unique and contemporary new home in historic Middle Temple”.
