Erskine Chambers announces leadership changes

Reeves and Campbell previously worked together at New Square Chambers to develop relationships, both across the UK and globally.

Erskine Chambers has announced that Phil Reeves has joined chambers as a senior clerk, and John Campbell is also joining a business development director.

In his new role, Reeves will be working with the existing senior clerking team, with effect from 10 January 2022.

He reportedly has a “wealth of experience” in Erskine Chambers’ practice areas, having spent the first 15 years of his career here.

Erskine said he has returned after a “successful” period at New Square Chambers, where he spent the last seven years as a senior clerk.

Meanwhile, Campbell joins his new role as a business development director following a six-year working partnership with Reeves at New Square Chambers.

David Chivers QC, head of chambers, said: “We are delighted to have Phil Reeves back in chambers and also to have John Campbell join the Erskine Chambers team.

“Phil was an outstanding clerk when he left us to develop his career elsewhere. We welcome him back as an outstanding senior clerk who already knows us and our market. Having worked closely in business development with Phil, we know that John will hit the ground running.”
