Exchange Chambers wins ‘Family Law Chambers of the Year’ award

It comes after Exchange strengthened its family law team in November 2020 with the arrival of a 14-strong family law team from Chavasse Court Chambers

Exchange Chambers was last night named as Family Law Chambers of the Year (Regional) at The Family Law Awards at the Bloomsbury Big Top.

The awards, which were launched in 2011, aim to recognise the “important work” of family lawyers, and “celebrate their many successes and outstanding achievements”.

The firm said that over the past 10 years, the Family Law Awards have “firmly established themselves as a highly prestigious event”.

Jonathan I’Anson, chief executive at Exchange Chambers said: “We are thrilled to win this prestigious award. It is a huge credit to the hard work and talent of every barrister and clerk in the team.”

In November 2020, Exchange strengthened its family law team, headed by Judith Fordham, with the arrival of a 14-strong family law team from Chavasse Court Chambers.

The team, headed by Julie Forsyth, specialises in all aspects of public and private children law cases acting for parents, children, extended family members, guardians, local authorities and government bodies, at all levels of the family court from Magistrates to High Court and the Court of Appeal.

The Family Law Chambers of the Year accolade follows on from Exchange being named as Regional Chambers of the Year at last week’s Chambers UK Bar Awards.
