Clifford Chance advises Mitsui on acquisition of ISI Sementi

Clifford assisted Mitsui with a multidisciplinary and cross-border team from Tokyo and Milan offices comprising partner Natsuko Sugihara, senior associate Shunsuke Nagae and associate Stephanie Ohira (all Corporate, Tokyo)

Clifford Chance has advised Mitsui and Co Ltd., a Japanese multinational listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, on the acquisition of the entire share capital of ISI Sementi S.p.A., an Italian company active in the production and marketing of professional vegetable seeds.

Clifford Chance is an international law firm headquartered in London and a member of the “Magic Circle,” a group of the most prestigious London-based multinational law firms.

The company also ranks as one of top ten largest law firms in the world measured both by number of lawyers and revenue.

According to the firm, Mitsui claims nutrition and agriculture to be a business domain with strategic priority, therefore, the company aims to promote the growth of ISI Sementi S.p.A., in international markets, by continuing to invest in its research and development and recruiting the best talent.
