Dentons advises Timothy Oulton on hotel acquisition

The firm has also recently advised AGO Hotels on the acquisition of the Ibis Newport and the Ibis Swansea, Freelance Properties Ltd on the sale of Hilton Maidstone and a confidential investor on the sale of the Hilton Cardiff to Castleforge Partners

Dentons has advised Timothy Oulton on the acquisition of Barnsley House Hotel and the Village Pub, a Grade II listed luxury spa hotel in Barnsley, near Cirencester. 

It revealed the seller was Calcot Health and Leisure Company Limited.

This is the second hotel deal Dentons has completed this month after advising KSL Capital Partners on its sale of the Belfry Hotel. 

Simon Masri and corporate partner Matthew Tinger led on the transaction, supported by people, reward and mobility partner Sarah Beeby; senior associates Laura Mackett and Charlotte Mee; associates Lorelle Doyle, Amy Morin, Matthew Exton, Varun Devesher and Laura Ni Dhruachain; tax counsel Alastair Macleod, and real estate team support manager Melanie Blanchard.

The team have also advised AGO Hotels on the acquisition of the Ibis Newport and the Ibis Swansea, Freelance Properties Ltd on the sale of Hilton Maidstone and a confidential investor on the sale of the Hilton Cardiff to Castleforge Partners during recent months.
