Anderson Mori & Tomotsune to open London office

Its partner Atsutoshi Maeda will be assigned to the London Office

Anderson Mori and Tomotsune (AMT) has announced it is to open a UK office in London next year.

The Japanese ‘Big Four’ firm said the office is to open in the summer of 2022 in order to “enhance its ability” to provide Japanese law advice to its clients in the UK and Europe.

The firm added that its partner Atsutoshi Maeda will be assigned to the London Office.

As a co-head of the Singapore Office, the firm said he has experience frequently travelling to and from Japan and Singapore for the last eight years and been involved in “many cross border matters connecting Japan and South East Asia”.

AMT said: “In this challenging time, our firm will continue to respond to our clients needs and strive to improve our legal services.”

AMT is headquartered in Tokyo with branch offices in Osaka and Nagoya. Outside Japan, it has offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok and has associated firms in Hong Kong, Jakarta and Singapore.
