DAC Beachcroft appoints chief financial officer
Claire Chellam will join following the planned retirement of Dave Gillard

DAC Beachcroft (DACB) has announced that Claire Chellam will join the firm as its new chief financial officer from 1 November 2021.
It follows the planned retirement of Dave Gillard, group finance director.
Chellam joins DACB from EY, where she was CFO of the UK business. Prior to joining EY, Chellam spent two decades working in the finance team at DLA Piper, becoming director of finance in 2016.
Chellam’s appointment comes as DACB has “experienced seven consecutive years of growth, increased profitability and improved liquidity up to the year ended 30 April 2021”.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic over the last 12 months, the firm has remained financially and operationally resilient
David Pollitt, DAC Beachcroft’s managing partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Claire to DACB. I am confident that Claire will ensure we retain this robust approach to our finances and assist us in our pursuit of profitable growth.”
Chellam added: “I have seen DACB’s continued success over the last several years and have been impressed with the firm’s financial discipline and remarkable profitable growth.
“DACB has built itself a strong foundation on which it can continue to grow. I’m very much looking forward to working with David and the rest of the senior leadership team.”
