DLA Piper has signed a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NextEnergy Group regarding energy generated from a new build solar farm in the UK, making it the first law firm anywhere in the world to undertake a PPA.

The move comes as part of DLA Piper’s drive to reach its decarbonisation targets, and the solar farm in question will be built in Somerset, cover 46 acres and produce 13 megawatts of additional renewable power that will be supplied directly to the UK’s national grid.
