Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Ronan Hanrahan as its chief transformation officer, a new role at the firm, effective from August 2021.
Through this newly created role, the firm said it has looked to “centralise certain aspects of its project” and change management expertise under Hanrahan’s lead, in support of the firm’s investment in transformation as part of its new strategy.
Hanrahan has a wealth of experience in international transformational, project and operational leadership, most recently with QBE Insurance.
He is an experienced IT, transformation and operational leader with over 30 years industry experience, and was most recently director of Transformation with the global insurance company QBE International.
In his eight years with QBE, he was responsible for developing and implementing the insurance firm’s strategic change and transformation agenda.
In his new role, he will report directly to Keith Froud, managing partner, Eversheds Sutherland (International) and join the firm’s International Operations Leadership team.
Keith Froud, managing partner, Eversheds Sutherland (International) said: “This is a major appointment for the firm in a significant new role. Ronan will manage the delivery of key transformational projects in the context of our firmwide strategy, and we are delighted that someone of his calibre and experience is joining us.”
Ronan Hanrahan added: “I am really excited to be joining Eversheds Sutherland at this time: I have been impressed with the energy and ambition for change expressed by the team.
“The skills and experiences I have gained with diverse organisations such as QBE and GE will allow me to bring a fresh perspective to the firm and help develop industry leading responses for the firm.”
