GA Solicitors reports ‘record’ profits

All areas of the law firm have seen ‘positive growth’ year on year with new recruits being taken on in residential conveyancing, marketing, renewable energy, dispute resolution, family and property litigation.

GA Solicitors has announced it has seen record growth this year with both turnover and profit at their “highest ever levels”.

The firm said its financial success has enabled the company to increase its headcount to 87 across its two offices in Plymouth and Bath.

This is reportedly an uplift of more than 25% since January 2021 and GA Solicitors said this figure is expected to increase further in the next calendar year as it is recruiting in several areas.

Meanwhile, all areas of the firm have seen “positive growth” year on year with new recruits being taken on in residential conveyancing, marketing, renewable energy, dispute resolution, family and property litigation.

Additionally, three new trainee solicitors have also been employed “as part of the firm’s commitment to develop the next generation of solicitors”, GA Solicitors said.

The trainees include Victoria Broom, Niall Rundle and Caitlin Weeks, and they each support the commercial, personal injury and private client departments.

David Wallis, managing partner of GA Solicitors, said: “There is no doubting there have been some significant challenges in the last 12 months, however, the dedication and professionalism of our team has provided us with new opportunities both in regards to the services we offer, and the personnel who deliver them.

“We have seen a number of new client wins in recent months but, importantly, we have also seen a significant increase in the amount of repeat business from existing clients. This is a testament to both the quality of the legal advice and the levels of client service provided by our team.”

He added: “Already the forecast for the next 12 months looks incredibly positive and we are continuing to recruit to meet the growing needs of our client base. Our specialist renewable energy team in Bath, GA Energy, is a key focus for us with further expansion expected into this niche area of the law.”
