Allen and Overy has announced the appointment of Kristina Nordlander as a partner in its global antitrust team.
Nordlander, who joins the firm from Sidley Austin LLP where she was global co-head of antitrust, will be London-based and will continue to spend time in Brussels.
Having previously worked in New York, Brussels and London, the firm said she has more than 23 years of experience, including 13 years as a partner, providing antitrust advice to clients on both sides of the Atlantic.
Nordlander is a Swedish national with broad EU antitrust and EU litigation experience, with a particular focus on big tech and life sciences, and a strong European and U.S. West Coast client base.
In 2008, she also founded the Women’s Competition Network (WCN), an international professional forum for senior competition law and policy professionals, with a membership of over 2,000 women.
Philip Mansfield, partner and global co-head of antitrust at A&O, said: “I am excited to welcome Kristina to the firm’s partnership and our global antitrust team. Her depth of experience and range of expertise in terms of clients and geography fit perfectly with our strategy for growth. Kristina’s hire is an illustration of our commitment to investing in our global antitrust team, as a strategic priority of the firm.”
