BTO Solicitors appoints new employment lawyer

BTO said her appointment brings the total number of accredited employment specialists to four

Employment lawyer Dawn Robertson has joined BTO Solicitors as a partner in its Edinburgh office.

She was previously a partner with Rooney Nimmo, and has more than 20 years’ experience on matters ranging from employment law issues resulting from company acquisitions and sales, to complex disciplinary, capability and grievance matters as well as the management of difficult exits, particularly from senior management positions.

BTO said her appointment brings the total number of accredited employment specialists to four, as she joins fellow partners Caroline Carr, Laura Salmond and Jacqueline McCluskey who are also specialists in employment law.

David Gibson, BTO’s chairman, said: “We are delighted that a partner of Dawn’s calibre, with an impressive track record and network of connections, is joining our prospering team.

“Her breadth of knowledge and experience of working on significant cases, involving all aspects of the employment relationship, will be of immense benefit to our clients.”

Robertson added: “I am excited to join BTO’s down to earth team, which has a loyal client following and a reputation in the market for providing pragmatic, commercially sound advice. I look forward to assisting the firm in expanding its client base and portfolio of services in the east of Scotland and beyond.”
