Ellisons Solicitors bolsters Wills, Trusts and Probate team in Suffolk
Its new head of department, Nicola Weldon, has more than 18 years’ experience in the Private Client sector and her specialisms include wills, estate planning and trusts, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney

Ellisons Solicitors has announced it has continued to strengthen its Wills, Trusts and Probate team in Suffolk with the appointment of three new lawyers.
Nicola Weldon joined the firm in September 2021 and was appointed the head of the department. She relocated to the firm’s Ipswich office at Arcade Street in April.
Weldon has more than 18 years’ experience in the Private Client sector. Her specialisms include wills, estate planning and trusts, estate administration and lasting powers of attorney and is a fully-accredited member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
In addition, it has also appointed Kiri Nichols to its team in Bury St Edmunds as a senior associate, chartered legal executive in March 2022. The firm added that Nichols offers “comprehensive and expert” advice on all aspects of private client work including wills, estate planning and administration. She is also a full member of STEP.
Also added to its Ipswich office, Rachel Dawson joined the team as an associate, chartered legal executive. Dawson has a wealth of experience assisting clients with the administration of estates including complex trusts, inheritance tax planning, wills and lasting powers of attorney. She is also a member of STEP and a Dementia Friends Champion.
Weldon said: “It is an incredibly exciting time for the Wills, Trusts and Probate team. The department is made up of a brilliant team of lawyers who work tirelessly, guiding clients through a very difficult period.
