Jones Day adds financial markets partner

In the role, Abradat Kamalpour will be tasked with advising financial institutions and growth companies on cross-border fintech opportunities

Global law firm Jones Day has announced the appointment of Abradat Kamalpour as a partner at the group’s financial markets practice.

Initially based in the group’s London office, Kamalpour will then relocate to Jones Day’s operations in San Francisco.

In the role, Kamalpour will be tasked with advising financial institutions and growth companies on cross-border fintech opportunities.

He will also work on building the group’s fintech initiative across all Jones Day practices and locations.

Kamalpour will provide the position with experience in fintech, debt capital markets, structured finance, and financing for investors and institutions.

He has also established an accelerator programme in London with ties to Silicon Valley, as well as serving as an advisor on various boards, forums, and working groups.
