Skadden welcomes new partner to London office
Davies, who is currently ranked as a leading individual in Chambers UK 2022 and in Legal 500 UK 2022, was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2022

Skadden has announced the appointment of Kate Davies QC as a partner at the firm’s international disputes and arbitration practice in its London office.
She will replace Karyl Nairn QC after her retirement earlier this year.
Davies joins from another international law firm in London where she was a partner. Skadden said she has “extensive experience” in both international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, and her practice focuses on complex, high value disputes.
Davies, who is currently ranked as a leading individual in Chambers UK 2022 and in Legal 500 UK 2022, was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2022.
David Kavanagh QC, global co-head of Skadden’s international disputes and arbitration practice, said: “Kate’s advocacy skills are a perfect fit with our leading practice. Our clients will benefit from her experience of working on complex cross-border disputes, across numerous sectors such as life sciences and TMT.
“Following the retirement of Karyl Nairn QC early this year, Kate will play a significant role in the continued success of our practice.”
