Monckton Chambers has announced that Philip Moser QC has been elected as a judge to the courts of the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
The announcement follows a meeting of the General Assembly of the world motorsport governing body in Paris last friday, with Moser’s mandate set to run from 1 January 2022.
Moser is joint head of chambers at Monckton, and he is ranked as a “leading silk” in EU Law, Competition Law, Procurement Law and Indirect Tax by Legal 500 and Chambers UK.
He is also a member of the Northern Ireland bar and the bar of the Republic of Ireland. He is also the current chairman of the Bar European Group, a specialist bar association of the bar of England and Wales.
Moser has reportedly appeared in every division of the High Court and at every level of the UK and EU courts. His practice deals with all aspects of domestic and international trade law, including the intersection of domestic and EU law, now encompassing the implications of Brexit.
The Legal 500 2022 said: “Philip is outstanding and very easy to work with. Probably the number one procurement disputes barrister at the moment.”
